This Just In: 'Boy Meets World' Sequel Is Official!
After all these years, the world finally gets to meet... girl?
Ben Savage has said it officially on Twitter!

Michael Jacobs, the original creator of Boy Meets World, has signed a pilot deal with Disney Channel for Girl Meets World. Danielle Fishel and Ben Savage will return as the adorable, now married and with kid, couple Cory and Topanga.
Disney has released the official casting break down of the series, which will revolve around Cory and Topanga's 13-year-old daughter named Riley. Riley will have a BFF named Maya, who will be the rebel-without-a-cause-trouble-maker-with-a-heart-of-gold - in other words, a girl version of Shawn.

No telling if Eric, Shawn, Angela, or Feeny will be part of the spinoff, but I sure hope they are! How great would it be to see the whole cast reunited after almost 20 years since it first aired on national TV?
Oh, and I almost forgot. Not only will Cory be a dad, but he will also be Riley and Maya's 7th grade History teacher! Following in the steps of Feeny, I see...
I, along with everyone else who grew up in the 90s, am so excited for this to come out! Whether the show itself is good or bad, it will be nice to see Corey and Topanga on our screens again. Let's just hope that Disney doesn't make it completely G, and leave out some of the deep issues that the original show dealt with.
What do you guys think? Is this the best idea since Boy Meets World? Or will it be too squeaky-Disney-clean for the original show's loyal fanbase?
